About Me
While the shortest path between two points might be a straight line, it isn’t always the most interesting. One of the results of my meandering over the years has been the continual addition and upgrading of skills and talents I had not necessarily originally intended to acquire.
Although my degree from George Washington University in Washington D.C. is in English literature, over the past twenty years I have sold important high-end contemporary art in Santa Fe and Taos New Mexico; I edited the arts and entertainment section for a daily nationally distributed newspaper in Mexico City and I currently contribute to Glasstire.com, an important on-line publication covering contemporary art in Texas, as well as for El Paso Magazine and The Ink, in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
In addition I currently write web copy for web training and development companies and for their clients.
But I also have extensive experience in the world of economics and finance, having spent 10 years trading stocks and options on my own account. I have also worked with local government serving a variety of functions.
I am currently improving my web design and graphic skills with Adobe products and, of course, I also have Excel and Word skills in addition to my trusty Mac OSX capabilities.
Originally from Chicago, I have traveled extensively, feel at home in every environment and speak, read and write French, Spanish and, of course, English.
